Triple A (Arts Access for All)
Outreach Programs
Owensboro Dance Theatre's Triple A (Arts Access for All) outreach programs are offered to share the joy and benefits of dance. ODT has designed multiple educational programs to serve all members of our community, with each program tailored to fit a variety of needs.

Are you looking for a fun and exciting way
to share an experience in the arts?
Here at Owensboro Dance Theatre, we are committed to bringing the education of dance to all areas- schools, activity centers, after-school programs, and much more!

Programs offered include

Rising Stars: Special Needs Dance Therapy Program
The Rising Stars: Special Needs Dance Therapy program is the only one of its kind in Western Kentucky. Led by Shauna Jones, with a Masters in dance and Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis, this program is designed to bring the joy and benefits of dance to individuals regardless of their abilities. Classes are provided free of charge and brought to schools, day centers, and more. For more information click on the picture to the left to visit the Rising Stars: Special Needs Dance Therapy page.
Dance/Movement/L.E.A.N.
Improving the health, memory and performance of our community children and adults is important to ODT. Through the L.E.A.N. program (Lifestyle, Education, Attitude, Nutrition), we provide the information and tools to make eating and moving fun and part of a healthy lifestyle that lasts.  For more information click on the picture to the right to visit the L.E.A.N. page.
Parkinson's Dance Therapy
The new Parkinson’s Dance Therapy program features dance classes structured around one of the greatest neurological concerns today- Parkinson’s disease. Classes are 45- 60 minutes each week, free of charge to participants. Each class will focus on the debilitating neurological symptoms of Parkinson’s, a decline in voluntary motor skills (balance, flexibility, strength), social skills, emotional strength, and confidence. With a teaching artist trained in Dance for Parkinson's Disease methods from Brooklyn, NY,  ODT seeks to provide community members with Parkinson’s disease the physical, mental, and social benefits of dance.

Classes are held every Wednesday at ODT's home studio (Johnson's Dance Studio) starting at 10:00am. Classes are free to all, including family members and caregivers!
Experience The Show: Bus & Ticket Program
ODT is continuing its Experience The Show: Bus & Ticket Program, offering transportation and attendance to ODT programming free of charge to participants.  This program provides a unique dance education and experience to underserved community members including adults, persons with special needs, economically disadvantaged, and senior citizens.
